Farewell ken

The Cavaliers bid a fond farewell to Ken Merrick who was a great member and a great friend who sadly passed away on Thursday 3rd July 2008. He will always be in our minds and especially remembered at our events and get togethers. He had a wicked sense of humour and brought fun to many a meeting.

Bluecoat Children's Centre Garden

We were approached by the Bluecoat Children's Centre in Torrington to see if we could help create an 'outdoor learning environment' within their unused garden area. Funding was in place for most of the materials but they were extremely short of labour. It was a challenging project so naturally, the Cavaliers were happy to take it on!

We followed their plans to create a small track for toddler trikes; an area for water play; a base for the shed; a mound; an area for a interactive wall; and a screened off area for the kitchen.

Farewell to Vernon Carreras

Vern, you were a good friend and a great Cavalier. You will be missed dearly. We used the cavalier guestbook for condolences.
