We take the safety of all our visitors very seriously and ask that you please note the following as this is a unique type of event:
There will be security fencing installed at a distance agreed with the Fire Service, it is there for your safety. There we be at least 1 fire appliance onsite.
You must do as stewards ask because it will be for yours and everyone else’s safety if you are asked to move to somewhere else onsite.
If you have any queries please approach a steward or a Cavalier (Orange jacket).
In the unlikely event of an evacuation you will hear announcements over the PA system and on the big screen and please do what the stewards ask of you they are looking after your safety.
You enter the bonfire site entirely at your own risk and the Great Torrington Cavaliers accept no responsibility for injury or loss howsoever caused.
You may bring food onsite but can you please place any waste into the bins.
STRICTLY NO BBQs
Due to the nature of this event and the number of people visiting we will assess anyone at the gate who appears to be intoxicated so much that it may create a safety risk for that person or others, we then reserve the right to refuse access.

We do respectfully request that only one other family member enter this area as it will have limited capacity.
We also have a Disabled Park & View site which is across the valley near the Golf Club, where you can sit in your car and watch the fireworks and burn from the comfort of your own car. There will be Toilet facilities and a PA system, but unfortunately due to the landowners request there will be no refreshments.
Tickets can be purchased on the gate at £20 per car.
NB: The disabled park and view area, is an agricultural field. Please drive safely and wear appropriate footwear etc
We will provide children with wrist bands that you must put your mobile phone number on. Should we should find your child we can call you to collect them from the “Lost Children” area which will be clearly marked.
We understand that you would like your child to see the bonfire and the best way may be by lifting them on your shoulders, if this is the case please bring a hat for them to wear because there may be a chance of embers flying over the crowd. Please also consider long sleeved clothing.
Please bear in mind that shortly after the fire is lit it will get HOT especially if you are close to the barriers so please look after your child for the short duration of the intense burn.
We will not put announcements over the Public Address system about lost children (Except in an emergency situation), you must keep your phone switched on.
