Following numerous requests the Cavaliers are organising the second annual Scarecrow Competition which we will be running during the summer months. Last year over 170 people entered the competition bringing untold pleasure and fun not only to local people but also to visitors to Torrington and surrounding areas.

Again there will be three sections of entry, Private, Business and Schools and as last year people from surrounding parishes, i.e. Taddiport, Frithelstock, High Bullen, St Giles and Little Torrington will be more than welcome to participate.

Full details of the entry dates and how to enter will appear in next month’s Crier and on posters which will be displayed around various locations - so get your thinking caps on and plan the theme for your Scarecrow and lets see if we can beat last years splendid effort.
