The build has started

Andrew Smith of KAS Crane Hire have been supporters of us since 1990 when we built tht Houses of Parliament. They have supplied cranes for installing key parts of the builds such as masts for the ships, the roof of the Trumpton Windmill and the top of Big Ben to name a few. The Torrington Cavaliers are over the moon to announce that their August bank holiday BIG BURN event raised an incredible £80,000 for charity! A share of that will go to the four named charities – Devon Air Ambulance; North Devon Hospice; Guide Dogs for the Blind Association; and Torrington Commons Conservators – with the rest going into a pot that smaller local charities and good causes can apply to. Cavaliers Chairman Mark Keeley said “We’re absolutely delighted. Considering the event was postponed due to the Covid pandemic and then with the uncertainty this year, it’s a great result.
