Tickets
You will need to present your tickets at the gate to be scanned, these will have your names on them. Entry without a ticket may not be possible depending on the number already scanned in / expected. All queries re tickets or the sale of them will need to be directed to our seller on 01158077900 or for the event
Security
By purchasing a ticket from us you accept that we reserve the right to randomly check bags or items being taken through the gates and onto the site, refusing the search may prevent your entry.
Refunds
This event is a fundraiser for charity so we will be running a NO refund policy. Our seller offers a vert good fee to protect your tickets.
Children
We will provide children with wrist bands that you must put your mobile phone number on so if we should find your child, we can call you.
We understand that you would like your child to see the bonfire and the best way may be by lifting them on your shoulders, we don’t recommend this but please bring a hat for them to wear because there may be a chance of embers flying over the crowd.
Lost children will be taken to the “Lost Children” area which will be clearly marked.
Please bear in mind that shortly after the fire is lit it will get HOT especially if you are close to the barriers so please look after your child for the short duration of the intense burn.
Disabled persons
We welcome everyone to our events, should you be a person with mobility problems please talk to a steward on the gate and / or a Cavalier (Orange) jackets and we will endeavour to guide you to place which will be less crowded for your comfort, we do however respectfully request that only one other family member enter this area as it will have limited capacity.
We will be operating a Park & View are across the valley by the Golf club where you can watch from your car, good view for the fireworks. Tickets can only be bought on the night at £25 per car.
Dogs
We run a strictly no dog policy on site due the number of fireworks that will be used. We will allow guide dogs so please talk to one of our stewards on the gate.
Alcohol
Due to the nature of this event and the number of people visiting we will assess anyone at the gate who appears to be intoxicated so much that it may create a safety risk for that person or others, we then reserve the right to refuse access.
There will be no bar onsite.
Food
There will be several food outlets on route to the bonfire site but none on site for safety reasons. You may bring food onsite but can you please place any waste into the bins. For people coming from the Bideford /Holsworthy directions there will be catering outlets at the top of the hill and may be at the Puffing Billy.
Onsite
You must do as stewards ask because it will be for yours and everyone else’s safety if you are asked to move to somewhere else onsite.
If you have any queries please approach a steward or a Cavalier (Orange jacket).
In the unlikely event of an evacuation you will hear announcements over the PA system and on the big screen. Please do what the stewards ask of you they are looking after your safety.
You enter the bonfire site entirely at your own risk and the Great Torrington Cavaliers accept no responsibility for injury or loss howsoever caused.
Parking
All Cavalier car parks will be free of charge. RHS Rosemoor Park & Ride (pending permissions) for vehicles travelling from the Plymouth and Exeter directions the P&R will be FREE. The other P&R services from Barnstaple and Bideford are chargeable.
Please park responsibly and do as requested by our parking stewards because there will be a lot of vehicles requiring parking.
There will be NO parking at the bonfire site.
The Great Torrington Cavaliers accept no responsibility for injury or loss to vehicles or the contents howsoever caused.
Walking distances from car parks
Dartington Crystal or Bus Stops by church for Park and ride service from Barnstaple and RHS Rosemoor and parking point for Bus tours – 0.6 miles 14 minutes.
Main Car park bottom of school lane – for vehicles from Barnstaple south Molton (and Exeter / Plymouth directions not using the P&R) – 1 mile 21 minutes.
Drummetts Mill, near the Puffing Billy for traffic from Bideford, Holsworthy etc.. – 0.4 miles 15 minutes
Town Car parks – 0.7 miles 14 minutes
Park & Ride Puffing billy from Bideford – 0.4 miles 12 minutes
RHS Rosemoor – Not suitable to walk to the bonfire site, park and ride will run from here. – for traffic from Exeter & Plymouth – drop off will be at Dartington Crystal – 1.7 miles 5 minutes by bus, 14 minute walk from Dartington to Bonfire site.
