Bonfire 2015

2 bonfires being built

Saturday we had to teams building bonfires 1 was at the Trumpton site, this was where the skilled workers were and the rest were at the Rugby club site. The Rugby club fire was completely built in one day and we had a few delays by inquisitive cows!

The Sky was very black and menacing during which Cody Marchant took the photo below with the rainbow over it.

Bonfire 2015 update - 4th october 2014

A good bit of work this weekend and the Chimney looks fab! I think the rooves are starting to look brilliant and make it more like real buildings. If you need some roofer,s you know who to call!

Next week we will have 2 working parties the skilled members will continue with the Trumpton Build and the non skilled, like me, will be at the Rugby Club building the bonfire for our November spectacular. Keep your eye on our website for mor information as I get it.

Trumpton Bonfire progress - 20-9-14

A good team working today. I was on painting duties, with Neil Batty and Mark Keeley ensuring the stirling board was covered with an "undercoat" in readiness for the cladding of the buildings and Brian Pitts was painting the "tiles" for the roof in readiness for Damien Witney, Cody Marchant and Wayne Stapleton to continue with the roofing.

The pub is coming on well, there is a bar, an oche, dartboard and other fixtures you would expect to see in a pub and hopefully it will be open soon! Kevin Marchant is the Landlord.

Bonfire 2015 progress - 9th August 2014

After a good turnout we sifted and stacked pallets within the structure and the skilled people continured with the more detailed jobs of building the PUB and starting the build of the left tower and balcony section of the TOWN HALL. Things are starting to take shape now! See photos below.
