“SLIMTEMBER” FOR TORRINGTON CAVALIERS - PLEASE DONATE

To Donate Please use the donation form to the left.

PRESS RELEASE BELOW

It’s Slimtember for a bunch of Torrington Cavaliers as they lose weight to raise money for charity.

A dozen or so members from the voluntary group are shedding the pounds during September in an effect to raise much needed funds to build the Trumpton bonfire.

Trumpton is their latest giant themed bonfire, due for burning on the August bank holiday weekend next year. Macmillan Cancer Support and the Plough Arts Centre are the two named beneficiaries of the event.

Cavalier Captain Andrew Morris said: “You already have Movember and Decembeard, so we wanted to do something a bit different. And as several of our members would benefit from losing a bit of weight, I suggested a slimming month. Slimtember was born!”

Andrew added “People can sponsor individual Cavaliers or they can make a donation and have a guess at the collective weight loss. There will be a prize to the person that guesses accurately following the final weigh-in at the end of September.” ( This is only available to those who can sponsor the individual in person - If however you would like to make a donation for Slimtember and help us build the next spectacular please use the donation form to the left).
