Cricket - Cavaliers Vs Weare Giffard
We have won the cricket match against Weare Giffard for many years now and were keen to keep the tradition going.
It was a lovely day, the bar was open and the teams were all ready!
It all started very well and we were playing well and at half time were only 30 runs behind, the problem was that the half time break went on a little too long and too much alcohol was consumed!
Thr match restarted and was going well. The umpire who was one of our newest members, sided with the opposition and we lost a batsman that was the slippery slope the first loss in 10 years. It was a fantastic day and evening and we thank Weare Giffard Cricket Club for organising the event.
Perhaps next year a littke more practice might help and a little more alcohol!
