Gt Torrington Cavaliers 2nd Annual Scarecrow Competition

Gt Torrington Cavaliers vs Weare Gifford Cricket Trophy - 2009

It was like a plot from the film The Dirty Dozen. Aloof, upright, well respected and much decorated from previous cricket skirmishes, Bernie Wittram had to muster together a rag tag assortment of physically challenged players to take on the might of Weare Gifford. A true Band of Brothers.

Mayfair 2009

MAYFAIR ENJOYED BY ALL! Great Torrington saw another successful mayfair with the Cavaliers contributing to the entertainment as usual.

Mayfair morning saw the Entertainers take to the stage at 11am with a colourful brand of themes from The Southern States. The usual interlude then saw five of the main Cavaliers perform the "Egyptian Sand Dance", complete with sand and authentic Egyptian tea towel head wear.

BONFIRE & FIREWORKS

We would like to thank everyone who came to support our Bonfire and Fireworks Display on Saturday and made it a success. The weather was Terrible to say the least, but at about 6:30 the rain stopped, the wind eased a little and the skies cleared.

Our thanks also go to Two Tigers Fireworks who gave us an excellent display as usual against a clear moonlit sky!
