Great Torrington Mayfair & Carnival 2007

Pictures courtesy of Davespix

As usual the "Cavalier entertainers" enthralled the watching crowd with their own unique singing style. This year the theme was Glam/Punk Rock. They were joined by the younger friends and family for the second installment after the Main Cavalier body did their bit!!

A Unique screening of "Tarka the Otter" celebrating 30 years

What an excellent event. It was a FULL House. Richard Williamson gave a speech about the Williamson family before the showing and afterwards questions were taken about the film by Richard Williamson, Peter Talbot ( Otter handler ) and Steve Downer ( triple emmy award winner).

And finally a cheque was presented to the Hospice for £1500.

New Years Eve 2006

The best ever! Even the very heavy showers and thunder failed to stop the residents of Torrington from seeing the new year in style.
There were more in fancy dress than ever before and at midnight the square was packed with 2000 revellers.

May Fair Day 2006

The Cavaliers entertainers entertained the crowds on mayfair day with "Class of 2006". Singing their versions of old school songs that everyone knows. They were joined half way through by the school girls of St Trinian's who performed the stick dance! I was privileged enough to enter their dressing room before they performed!!

In the afternoon;

The Greatest Show on Earth - The Cavaliers Circus comes to town

We put on our own Circus including our own human cannon ball "Ivor Deffwish".

MayFair Day 2005

Thursday 5th of May was a very special day for the Cavaliers. It was the biggest entertainment program we have done.

The entertainers sang to the crowd in the morning with their sea shanties and naval songs to a large crowd who were singing along merrily. In the background the Cavalier / bonfire builders were behind the scenes practicing for the last time their part to be played in the afternoon.

After lunch, and a couple of jars I`m sure the entertainers and the bonfire builders met at the Globe for a final rehearsal and briefing and before the off, a photo shoot.
