We launched our 2020 Pumpkin growing competition during the 1st lockdown and the weigh in took place yesterday. There were varying sizes starting from the smallest weighing in at 115 grams and looked more like a lemon to a mammoth 55.4 Kg!!
This was the first event this year that were able to successfully complete, on wards and upwards next year we hope!
Below are the 3 winners from left to right:
1. Richard Metherell 55.4Kg
2. Daren Nudds 35.9 kg
3. Chris Stacey 18 Kg.
Our thanks go to Jane Wafforn (whiskers), Charlie Banfield (Function fitness) for the loan of the scales, Giles Stacey (Xanadu) for taking the pumpkins off our hands and to Genesis for the loan of the room.
We're proud to be supporting Charlene and Torrington Rugby Club in the provision of free packed lunches for kids in the school holidays.
Well done Charlene!!

We were delighted that SUNBELT Rentals (was A Plant) were able to sponsor us for this build. There is a lot of expense staging an event like our 2020 bonfire and we do use a lot of plant and equipment hire both during the build and on the night. Sunbelt Rentals have allowed us to offset the costs we would normally have thus giving us the potential to give away more money to Charity and good causes. They are also helping us with our road closures. Thank you to Mike Abbott and Sophie Jones for arranging this sponsorship, we really appreciate your support, Thank you!

A few words from Mike Abbott and Sophie Jones of Sunbelt Rentals:
The build is progressing for our 2021 spectacular!
Some colour added to the Mayflower and the top of the Mayflower arch is progressing well.
